Forange is a building-block brand from Shantou Chenghai Meigaobao Toys in China, and its Engine Morph series gives you two builds in one box: a detailed motorcycle, and a second model such as a helicopter, a plane or a robot made from the same parts. Each set costs €14.95.

This guide explains how the Forange 2-in-1 motorcycles work, what each set builds, who they suit and what we have in stock.

Who makes Forange?

Forange is the building-block brand of Shantou Chenghai Meigaobao Toys, a toy company from Chenghai, a district of Shantou that is one of China's biggest toy-making centres. The Engine Morph series is all about vehicles with a twist: each box builds one model, and when you are ready for something new, you take it apart and build the alternative.

The Forange Engine Morph motorcycles

  • FC9302 Red Motorcycle (545 pieces): a red-and-black sport motorcycle. Second build: a helicopter-style model.
  • FC9303 Green Motorcycle (479 pieces): an olive-green cruiser. Second build: an aerobatic plane.
  • FC9304 Green Sport Motorcycle (515 pieces): black and green, with gold forks and a detailed engine and chain. Second build: a robot.
  • FC9305 Black Motorcycle (571 pieces): sleek and all black, with gold details and a long, low frame. Second build: a winged aircraft.

The second model for each set is shown on the box, so you can see what you are working towards. All four boxes are the same size, about 48 × 34 × 6.8 cm, which makes them easy to wrap and stack.

How do 2-in-1 sets work?

A 2-in-1 set contains one set of parts and instructions for two different models. You build the first one, enjoy it on your shelf for a while, and when you fancy a change, you take it apart and build the second. You cannot build both at the same time from one box, but you do get two building experiences for the price of one.

That also makes these sets a good lesson in how bricks work: the same wheel, panel or engine part that was part of a motorbike suddenly becomes part of a plane or a robot. It is a fun way for younger builders to see how designers reuse pieces, and to start thinking about their own creations.

Why Forange motorcycles are fun to build

Motorcycles are a satisfying shape to build, with a chunky engine, wheels, forks and a seat that come together into something that looks fast even on the shelf. With around 500 pieces, each set is a good afternoon build: big enough to feel like a real project, but not so big that it takes weeks.

At €14.95, they also make a great birthday present for a young builder who loves vehicles. Buy two different colours and you can build a little garage, or swap between motorbikes and aircraft whenever you like. All four sets are rated 6+, so younger builders can get started with a bit of help on the trickier steps.

Which Forange set should I choose?

  • Sporty: the FC9302 Red Motorcycle or the FC9304 Green Sport Motorcycle.
  • Cruiser style: the FC9303 Green Motorcycle.
  • The biggest build: the FC9305 Black Motorcycle, with 571 pieces.
  • Robot fans: the FC9304, which rebuilds into a robot.
