The TUOMU sets we stock

T2012 5-in-1 STEM Truck

From TUOMU's App Programmable Truck series, this set builds five yellow construction vehicles, one at a time: an excavator, a dump truck, a bulldozer, a road roller or a crane truck. It has 535 pieces and comes with a motor, and you can program it with an app. That makes it more than a model: you build it, power it up and then experiment with how it moves.

T3006 Space Rocket

The Rocket Launch Group from TUOMU's Space Exploration line builds a tall white rocket lifting off from its launch base, with a glowing orange-and-red exhaust plume and white smoke clouds. It has 1,201 pieces and stands about 66 cm tall. The rocket has a three-stage separable structure, so you can take the stages apart just like a real launch, and built-in lighting (two rotating lamp beads and a bright light strip) makes the exhaust glow.

T7003 Steam Owl

From the Steam Da Vinci series, a steampunk owl with outspread black-and-gold wings, big yellow eyes, gear details and a glass-dome head, on a black stand. It is a striking display build for anyone who likes the steampunk look.

Why TUOMU sets are fun to build

TUOMU sets are about more than following the instructions. The 5-in-1 truck invites you to rebuild it again and again and to try out the motor and app, which is a great introduction to STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) for curious kids. Building an excavator one week and a crane truck the next keeps the set fresh for a long time.

The rocket is the showstopper. At about 66 cm, it makes a real impression on a shelf, and the stages separate, so it's as much fun to play with as it is to display. It is a great build for a young space fan, perhaps together with a parent over a weekend.

All three TUOMU sets are rated 8+, so they suit primary-school builders who are ready for a slightly bigger challenge.

Which TUOMU set should I choose?

  • For STEM and motors: the T2012 5-in-1 STEM Truck.
  • For space fans: the T3006 Space Rocket, with lights.
  • For steampunk style: the T7003 Steam Owl.

Things to know before you buy

The STEM truck builds one vehicle at a time, so you take the current model apart to build the next. To use the app programming you will need a phone or tablet, so plan to build it where you can sit together with a device and try things out. Keep the motor and its parts in a separate bag between builds, so they are easy to find when you switch to a new vehicle. The rocket is tall, so check you have a shelf with about 70 cm of headroom, or display it on the floor or a low cabinet.
