Wonder Moon is a building-block brand that turns flowers into small brick builds: bouquets bursting out of pastel envelopes, and wrapped bouquets in a wood-look frame with a "For You" inscription. The range is made by Sembo, the Chinese brick maker behind AREA-X. Each set costs €9.95 and makes a lovely gift that never wilts.

This guide covers the two Wonder Moon series we stock, how the mini-brick builds work, who they suit, and how to choose.

The Wonder Moon series we stock

Flowery Love Letters

Each set in the Flowery Love Letters series builds an envelope with a bouquet bursting out of it, about 14 cm tall. They are built from 3.6 mm mini bricks, smaller than standard bricks, so the petals and leaves come out fine and delicate.

  • 804221 Midsummer's Blossom (620 pieces): a pastel envelope with purple and lilac flowers and a ribbon bow.
  • 804222 Golden Sunshine: a cream envelope filled with sunflowers, daisies and a white tulip, tied with a golden bow.
  • 804223 Dreamy Flower Sea: a pink envelope with pink tulips and soft pastel flowers.

For You

The For You series puts a wrapped bouquet inside a wood-look frame case with a "For You" inscription, about 15.8 cm wide. The 804216 The Gorgeous Blooms has pink, purple and white flowers, while the 804217 The Dreamy Stars is in blue, teal and white.

Why build flowers?

Brick flowers have become a popular build, and it is easy to see why. You get the calm, absorbing fun of building, and then a bouquet that stays fresh on a desk, a bedside table or a windowsill for as long as you like, with no water and no wilting.

Wonder Moon sets are small and quick compared with big botanical sets, which makes them perfect as a gift: a birthday, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, a thank-you for a teacher or a get-well-soon. The envelope designs are a nice touch, a little love letter you build yourself. Or give one to a friend and build it together over a cup of tea.

They are rated 14+ because the parts are small. Build on a tray, sort the colours first, and press each piece down firmly so the petals sit nicely.

Wonder Moon vs bigger botanical sets

If you are choosing between a Wonder Moon set and a larger flower build, think about time and space. A Wonder Moon envelope is about 14 cm tall and costs €9.95, so it fits on a narrow shelf and makes a short build for one evening. Larger botanical sets, such as the MJI 13124 Poinsettia with 536 pieces at €24.95, take longer and make a bigger centrepiece for a table. Many people start small with a Wonder Moon bouquet and move on to bigger flowers once they are hooked, or mix both: a big bouquet on the table and a little envelope on the desk.

Which Wonder Moon set should I choose?

  • Bright and sunny: 804222 Golden Sunshine, with sunflowers.
  • Soft and romantic: 804223 Dreamy Flower Sea, in pink.
  • Purple lovers: 804221 Midsummer's Blossom.
  • A framed gift: 804216 The Gorgeous Blooms or 804217 The Dreamy Stars.

Love brick flowers? MJI make larger botanical sets such as orchids and bouquets, and YKO make a brick-built flower vase. For more from Sembo, see our guides to Sembo's Digimon figures and its sub-brand AREA-X.
