The Xbert trucks we stock

66026 American Truck

An American-style truck tractor with a long bonnet, a chrome grille and twin exhaust stacks, in navy blue, red and white with a star on the doors. It is the quickest build of the three, with 268 pieces, and has the classic look of a big American rig.

66032 European Truck

A European cab-over truck tractor in white, with a light bar on the roof, a roof spoiler, front spotlights and red-and-white striped side skirts. With 420 pieces, it has a flat-fronted cab like the trucks you see on European motorways.

66033 Fuel Tank Trailer

A white tanker semi-trailer with a polished round tank, three axles, side ladders and detailed landing gear. It is the biggest Xbert set we stock, with 699 pieces, and is about 34.6 cm long when built.

American vs European trucks

Building both tractors side by side is a nice way to see the difference between the two classic truck styles. American trucks are "conventional": the engine sits under a long bonnet in front of the cab, which gives them their famous long nose. European trucks are usually "cab-over": the cab sits on top of the engine, so the front is flat. That design keeps the whole truck shorter, which helps with Europe's rules on total vehicle length.

Kids who love spotting trucks on the motorway will enjoy recognising both shapes, and building them makes the differences really stick.

Why Xbert trucks are fun to build

Trucks are a great subject for bricks: big wheels, a chunky cab, shiny details and lots of small parts like mirrors, lights and exhausts that bring the model to life. Xbert's sets are compact enough to finish in an evening or two, but detailed enough to look great on a desk or shelf.

They are rated 14+, so they suit teens and adults, or a younger truck fan building together with a parent. Line up the American truck, the European truck and the tanker on a shelf and you have your own little truck stop.

Tips for building Xbert trucks

Trucks are full of mirrored parts: left and right mirrors, steps, fuel tanks and wheel arches. Before you click a piece in place, double-check the picture to make sure you are building the correct side. Sort the small chrome and silver pieces into a dish so they do not get lost, and press the wheels on firmly so the truck rolls straight. When you are done, take a photo from low down at the front: brick trucks look surprisingly real from that angle, especially with a road or a garage in the background.
