AREA-X

AREA-X is a brand of the Chinese brick maker Sembo that makes large, officially licensed display sets of pop-culture icons. The three sets we carry are rated 14+ and all have built-in lighting.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Magician (AB0040) has 1,209 pieces and measures about 33.4 × 27.9 × 36.1 cm, with five lighting elements, interchangeable hands and an opening magic book. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon (AB0004) is built from about 1,250 pieces, with posable wings, tail, head and jaw above an illuminated base, and is about 51 cm wide.

The SpongeBob SquarePants Pineapple House (AB0032) is the biggest at 2,313 pieces. The house opens to show a furnished interior and rotates when you turn the rock beside it, and it comes with SpongeBob's friends as character figures and Gary the snail.

These are long, detailed builds that make a real centrepiece for a games room or collection shelf. Check each product page for current availability, and read more in our guide What is AREA-X?.
