LOZ is a building-block brand from Shantou, China, known for its mini blocks: bricks smaller than standard ones that let you build fine, detailed models. At Toy Haven you will find a Halloween pumpkin carriage, a jade-green Chinese dragon, a vintage car with caravan and a grand fairground carousel of 4,515 pieces.

This guide covers who makes LOZ, how mini blocks work, which LOZ set suits which builder, and what we have in stock.

Who makes LOZ?

LOZ sets are made by Guangdong Zhenfeng Science and Educational Toys, a toy company from the Chenghai district of Shantou, one of China's biggest toy-making centres. LOZ specialise in small bricks, which they use for detailed display models, from cute vehicles to large showpieces.

What are mini blocks?

LOZ mini blocks click together just like ordinary bricks, but they are smaller. Smaller bricks mean more pieces for the same size of model, so curves and details come out finer: think of the scales on a dragon or the decorated panels of a carousel. The builds take a little more patience and a good light, and the finished models are compact but rich in detail.

Because they are a different size, mini blocks do not combine with LEGO or other standard bricks. Our article on microbricks vs ribblebricks vs standard bricks explains the different brick sizes.

The LOZ sets we stock

Halloween

The 1134 Pumpkin Carriage (839 pieces) is a Halloween pumpkin carriage pulled by two white horses, with a purple roof topped with a witch hat, lanterns, little pumpkins and two small figures. The 1233 Halloween House (783 pieces) is a spooky cottage with a crooked tree, gravestones, pumpkins and bats, and a detailed interior behind its walls. Both are €19.95, and together they make a brilliant Halloween table.

Vintage vehicles

The 1130 Vintage Car & Caravan (2,228 pieces) is a yellow vintage car towing a matching caravan, with beach chairs, a parasol table and holiday details for a summer camping scene. The 4210 Pink Vintage Wedding Car from the Sweet series is a small 290-piece build of about 11.5 cm, decorated with balloons, a little cake and a bride figure; a sweet wedding gift at €9.95.

Chinese Dragon

The 1928 Chinese Dragon (1,416 pieces) is a jade-green dragon with gold and red scales, flowing whiskers and golden claws, striding over a dark display base while chasing a pearl. It is about 34.5 cm long, and at €19.95 it is great value for its size.

Carousel

The 1059 Carousel is the biggest LOZ set we stock: 4,515 pieces, a blue and gold canopy, decorated panels and carousel horses circling the centre column, about 35 cm across. It is a long, rewarding project for a family to build over several evenings.

Why LOZ sets are fun to build

Mini blocks add a lovely extra level of detail. The Halloween and holiday sets are full of small things to discover as you build: a pumpkin here, a lantern there. The dragon and the carousel are the kind of model people stop to look at on a shelf.

All the LOZ sets we stock are rated 6+, but the small bricks mean younger builders will enjoy them most with some help. A good tip: build on a tray, sort the colours first and keep the instructions flat beside you.

Which LOZ set should I choose?

  • A small gift: the 4210 Pink Vintage Wedding Car at €9.95.
  • For Halloween: the Pumpkin Carriage and Halloween House.
  • Best value showpiece: the 1928 Chinese Dragon.
  • The big project: the 1059 Carousel.
