Blokees Hatsune Miku Fantastics Series MIKU WITH YOU 2025, an assembled snap-fit model kit of Miku with a panda companion

Blokees is the toy brand of Bloks Group, a Shanghai company that makes snap-fit model kits of licensed characters such as Optimus Prime, Hatsune Miku and Deadpool. The pre-coloured parts click together without glue or tools, and you end up with a poseable figure you built yourself.

As the authorised Blokees distributor for the Netherlands, we get asked about the brand a lot. This guide covers who Blokees are, how the different lines work, what the kits cost and which one to start with.

Who makes Blokees?

Blokees is the international brand of Bloks Group, a toy company based in Shanghai, China. Zhu Weisong founded the company in 2014, after previously co-founding a video game company. Bloks Group listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in January 2025.

The brand's motto is "Inspire Creativity, Share Joy", and the whole range is built around one simple idea: the fun is in the assembling. You don't just take a figure out of the box, you build it.

What do Blokees make?

Blokees make buildable figures: model kits made from pre-coloured plastic parts that snap together. When you are done, you have a poseable figure with movable joints, a display stand and, depending on the kit, accessories such as weapons or swappable hands.

The licences are a big part of the appeal. Alongside Transformers, Marvel and Hatsune Miku, Blokees work with Naruto, Saint Seiya, Evangelion, DC and Jurassic World. They have also started making Pokémon kits, which launched first in Asia.

The Blokees lines explained

  • Classic Class: compact kits, mostly Transformers. Classic Class 01 Optimus Prime builds from 83 parts into a 12.5 cm figure with 20 points of articulation and light-up eyes and chest (battery included).
  • Champion Class: character kits from Marvel, Naruto and Saint Seiya, such as Deadpool, Wolverine, Naruto Uzumaki and Pegasus Seiya.
  • Action Edition: the bigger kits. The G1 Optimus Prime stands about 18 cm tall and has 45 movable joints.
  • Fantastics and Legend Edition: larger display builds, including several Hatsune Miku outfits and a Kurama & Naruto set.
  • Blind boxes: Galaxy, Shining and Defender Version mini kits, where you only find out which character you got when you open the box.

Why Blokees kits are fun to build and play with

Blokees kits hit a sweet spot. A Classic Class kit is a relaxed evening build, not a weekend project. Because every part is already coloured, there is no painting or sanding involved, and the illustrated step-by-step instructions make it easy to build one together with a younger fan.

The best part comes after the build. These are fully poseable figures: swap hands, line up Autobots against Decepticons and play with them, or pose them into the perfect display. The light-up eyes in many Transformers kits make that even better.

The blind boxes add a social side. Open a few with friends, see who got which character and swap your duplicates. That is exactly how we like blind boxes to be enjoyed, and we explain more in our post on why opening physical blind boxes is so much fun.

How much do Blokees kits cost?

At Toy Haven, Classic Class kits start at €16.95, Champion Class kits are €19.95 to €25.95, Action Edition kits are €39.95, and the Kurama & Naruto Legend Edition is €49.95. Blind boxes start at €2.95 for a Defender Version mini kit.

We are not giving a price-per-piece comparison with LEGO here. Blokees kits use larger, sculpted parts, so counting pieces would mean comparing apples with oranges. What we can say is that an officially licensed, light-up, fully poseable Optimus Prime for under €20 is very fair, and keeping good kits affordable is exactly why we stock them.

For blind box series we also sell factory-sealed set boxes, priced so that roughly one box is free. Galaxy Version 01, for example, is €7.95 per single box or €63.95 for a sealed set of nine.
