What is Funism? Pokémon Eevee Blind Box Figures Explained

Funism is a Chinese toy brand from ELSKA Group in Shenzhen that makes officially licensed Pokémon blind box figures. Its Eevee series are the best-known example: each blind box holds one of nine figures, Eevee or one of its eight evolutions, set in a small themed scene.

Eevee is one of the most loved Pokémon of all, and part of the reason is choice: it can evolve into eight different forms. In this guide we explain who Funism are, what their figures are like, and how to get the most fun out of opening them.

Who are Funism?

Funism is a Chinese toy brand founded in 2016 under ELSKA Group, a company headquartered in Shenzhen. Funism create figures and blind boxes based on well-known characters and work with a long list of licence partners, including Pokémon, Sanrio, Evangelion and Naruto.

Their Pokémon partnership started in 2021, and their first Pokémon figures were released in August 2022.

What do Funism make?

Funism make small display figures, typically sold in blind boxes. Each sealed box holds one figure from a series, and you only find out which one when you open it. The figures are ready to display straight out of the box, usually on a themed base that turns each one into a little scene.

The Funism Eevee blind box series

Their best-known Pokémon line is the Eevee series. Each series has nine designs: Eevee plus all eight of its evolutions, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon. So far there have been three:

• Let's Go! Eevee, the first series, released in November 2022.
• Adventure! Eevee, the second series, with each Pokémon in a dynamic scene that matches its type, such as Flareon in a burst of flames or Vaporeon in a splash of water.
• Enjoy! Eevee, the third series, with calmer nature scenes, from Eevee under a giant mushroom to Flareon beneath autumn leaves.

Other Funism series

Funism also make other Pokémon series, such as Pikachu and Friend, where Pikachu shares each scene with a different companion, from Psyduck and Squirtle to Mimikyu and Piplup. Outside Pokémon, we also stock their chibi-style Evangelion figures.

Why Funism blind boxes are fun to open

The fun of a blind box is in the moment you open it. Will it be Umbreon? Sylveon? The two Eevee series we stock make that moment extra friendly, because they have no secret or chase figures: every one of the nine designs has the same 1-in-9 chance. You know exactly what you could get, and every result is a good one.

Duplicates are part of the game. Open a few boxes with friends or family, compare what you got, and swap until everyone has their favourites. It is a lovely, social way to share a fandom, and the finished figures look great together on a shelf. We share more thoughts in our post on why physical blind boxes are so much fun.

One practical note: these are detailed display figures with small parts, and the manufacturer recommends them for ages 15+.

How Funism pricing works

Blind box figures are not really comparable to building sets, so we will not pretend otherwise. What we can explain is how our pricing works. A single Funism blind box is €24.95 at Toy Haven. We also sell factory-sealed set boxes, priced so that roughly one box is free: the Adventure! Eevee and Enjoy! Eevee set boxes contain nine boxes for €199.95, so you pay for eight. The Pikachu and Friend and Evangelion set boxes contain eight boxes for €174.95, so you pay for seven.

That makes the set box the fairest way to get a complete series, with no duplicates and no guesswork.
